Born in Wales and brought up in rural Ireland, psychology graduate Zoe now lives in London with her partner Sindy. She works in a bar and as a corporate role player, but wants to make a living through acting.

She has little experience of physical deprivation and survival, but underwent some social pressure and adversity while working on an Australian banana farm with her partner in a "Neanderthal" environment.

What Zoe most dislikes is passive-aggressive people, swearing that "they wind me up even more than bullies". She copes with problems and problematic people with humour and one-liners.^[2]

Post-Survivor[]

On August 18, 2001, Zoe, alongside James Stroud, appeared on a reality TV special edition of The Weakest Link. She was voted out in Round 6.
- Coincidentally, like how she was eliminated on Survivor (U.K.), Zoe was eliminated after a tie in the vote occurred.
After a brief stint working for Planet 24, the creators of Survivor (U.K.), Zoe would go on to become a successful comedian. Since appearing on Pulau Tiga, Zoe has made regular appearances at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and various other comedy shows in the U.K., Australia and New Zealand as well as on several U.K. radio and TV comedy shows such as Just a Minute, Mock The Week and QI.^[3]
- Airing its first episode on January 25, 2021, Zoe hosted the BBC game show Lightning. It would ultimately air two series, finishing on April 22, 2022.^[4]^[5]^[6]
On December 14, 2014, Zoe married nurse Sindy De Jong.^[7] They met whilst on holiday through mutual friends.
Since 2020, Zoe has been sharing her personal experiences with alopecia, hoping to inspire others with the condition. In 2023, she launched a new comedy tour, Bald Ambition, which sheds more light on her personal journey.
