Gary "Zane" Knight is a contestant from Survivor: Philippines.
A likable character on the dysfunctional Matsing tribe, Zane was best known for his visibly bad challenge performance and for taking the credit for the first of the tribe's many failures. This led to him being voted out unanimously as the season's first boot.

Survivor[]
Zane was a member of the Matsing Tribe. Within the first two days, Zane had approached Angie Layton, Denise Stapley, and Roxy Morris for alliances. Zane soon approached Malcolm Freberg and Russell Swan to make a three-person alliance, but ended up confessing that he had made an alliance with the other three tribe members, so that there would be a fourth vote if they needed it. This made Malcolm skeptical, and he quickly relayed the information back to Denise. During the Immunity Challenge, Zane experienced shortness of breath and had to be pulled by Russell to the finish line. Despite their efforts, Matsing lost the first Immunity Challenge. During Russell's pep talk, Zane asked his tribe to vote him out for costing the tribe in the challenge. However, this was all a ruse to help Zane find out who liked him on his tribe and wanted him around. At Tribal Council, Zane credited his shortness of breath to his abrupt nicotine withdrawal, which he just did a day before arriving to the Philippines. His ruse failed and Zane was ultimately voted out 5-1, becoming the first castaway voted out of Survivor: Philippines.
