La vie de Yannick a toujours tourné autour du basket. Parti en centre de formation à 15 ans, il est passé professionnel à 18 ans. Yannick, on le remarque : grand, avec la voix qui porte, le basketteur ne mâche pas ses mots. Et cette impulsivité lui joue souvent des tours... Compétiteur, il sait qu'il lui faudra user de stratégie pour arriver au bout, mais pas au point de trahir. Il veut être un exemple pour sa fille de 8 ans, et lui prouver qu'elle peut tout avoir dans la vie si elle s'en donne les moyens.
Koh-Lanta[]
Due to finishing last amongst the men in the opening challenge, Yannick received a Cursed Bracelet. Therefore, Yannick was to receive a vote against him at every Tribal Council he would attend until the second cycle after the merge. Yannick was selected by Céline Dufrenoy to be a part of the Turung tribe. Though his tribe attended two Tribal Councils before the tribe dissolution, Yannick was in the majority for both votes and did not receive any votes apart from his penalty votes as a consequence of his Cursed Bracelet.
Just before the tribe dissolution, Yannick once again placed last in an individual challenge and received a second Cursed Bracelet in consequence. After this challenge, Yannick was selected to be a member of the new Matingi tribe by its captain, Anne-Sophie Mounier. Though Yannick now had two Cursed Bracelets handicapping him at every Tribal Council he attended, his popularity with his tribemates kept him safe and he made the merge. At the merged tribe's first Tribal Council, Yannick received his last two penalty votes as a consequence of his Cursed Bracelets. Though Louana Roy voted against him, the rest of the original Cadlao tribe members voted out Colin Mottas. With the next cycle originally being Yannick's first without any penalty votes thanks to him finally losing his Cursed Bracelets, this was no longer the case after he finished last in the first individual Reward Challenge because the first two contestants that dropped out of said challenge would each receive a penalty vote at the corresponding Tribal Council.
Yannick failed to win the second individual Immunity Challenge, so he and a few other original Matingi tribe members conspired with some of the original Cadlao tribe members to once again try to take out Maxime Tournoux at Tribal Council. When more of the original Matingi tribe members discussed this plan, Bastien San Pedro stated that they shouldn't risk trusting the original Cadlao tribe members again after their move on Colin from the last Tribal Council. In consequence, they made plans to blindside Louana and attempted to recruit Maxime into the fold. However, Maxime leaked this information to his fellow original Cadlao tribe members and promised them that he would never turn on them. Thus, taking into consideration that they no longer had Pauline Pourchaire as a number, the original Cadlao tribe members took advantage of Yannick's penalty vote and voted him out at Tribal Council.
