Yannick was selected by Jean-Luc Duboscq to be a part of the Naga tribe. Throughout the tribal phase, Yannick remained in a comfortable position socially and was never targeted. Additionally, Yannick visited Treasure Island during the second and fifth cycles, though he did not succeed in finding the Golden Ring. When the tribes merged, the second Naga tribe members took control of the game immediately and voted out Lau Émilien at the merged tribe's first Tribal Council. However, after Benoît Assadi used his newly found Golden Ring to "idol out" Béryl Libault de la Chevasnerie at the Final Twelve and Jesta Hillmann and Jérémy Raffin joined the second Sambor tribe members in blindsiding Alexandra Pharisien at the Final Eleven, the other second Naga tribe members lost their majority. At the Final Ten, the younger members of the new majority alliance, Benoît, Candice Boisson, Jesta, and Jérémy, already made a Final Four pact. Noticing the developing affinity between these younger members, Freddy Bolzer, in an attempt to shake things up, warned Stéphane Cipolla that the "hard workers" of the tribe should probably stick together. Unfortunately for Freddy, Yannick, and Ludivine Wiart, the tides didn't change and Yannick was voted out next as he was seen as the head of this trio. Despite making it deep enough into the game to be a part of the jury, Yannick did not become a juror because he had to return to France immediately in order to tend to a family affair. Yannick was still present for the live final vote count in Paris.
