During the first few days of the game, Wes believe that he was on the same tribe as John Rocker because of watching Baseball in his youth. John denied this, because of his controversial "Sports Illustrated" interview which gotten him labelled racist and homophobic. At the Immunity Challenge, Coyopa was initially leading but lost after struggling with the puzzle. Wes agreed with Dale Wentworth that Nadiya Anderson was a huge threat because of her being on The Amazing Race. She was the first person voted out of the game in a 5-3-1.
