We Got a Rat is the third episode of Survivor: Cambodia.

Story

Day 7

On Day 7, a Tribe Switch was announced. For the first time, two tribes would become three. Castaways were asked to pick a box at random and reveal their new buffs. Whichever buff they pulled out was their new tribe. The tribes  Ta Keo and  Bayon were joined by the new tribe Angkor, who wore yellow. The new tribes were as follows:

Day 8

At the new Bayon tribe, the former Bayon members busied themselves looking for a Hidden Immunity Idol, not wanting it to fall into the hands of the former Ta Keo members. Jeremy Collins eventually found the clue and would later find the idol at the immunity challenge, which was hidden under the third box. In the challenge, Ta Keo got off to a quick lead and won, clinching their first victory of the season. After Woo Hwang and Tasha Fox struggled on the puzzle for Angkor, Bayon was able to claim second place, maintaining their undefeated streak and sending the newly formed Angkor to their first Tribal Council. After the challenge, after a signal was shared between Jeff Varner and Kelly Wiglesworth, Tasha called Jeff a rat, and an argument ensued at the challenge. 

At camp, Jeff's name was raised for elimination, but it soon became clear that it would be between Ta Keo rivals Peih-Gee Law and Abi-Maria Gomes, with Abi telling Peih-Gee that she was siding with the former Bayon members, which led to the two targeting each other. All of a sudden, former Bayon's Tasha and Andrew Savage found themselves in the position of being swing votes.

At Tribal Council, Jeff raised the issue that had taken place at the immunity challenge, as well as discussing camp life. Jeff Varner told Probst that he had heard himself, Peih-Gee and Abi-Maria mentioned for elimination. When it came time to vote, Woo and Peih-Gee voted for Abi-Maria, while swing votes Tasha and Andrew ultimately sided with Abi-Maria, sending Peih-Gee home in a 4-2 vote, and making her the third person voted out of Survivor: Cambodia.

Challenges: Draggin' the Dragon
Each tribe would push a cart through an obstacle course. At each tower, they would retrieve a key. The key would be used to unlock a chest. They would then put the chest on the cart and continue on. Once they have collected all three chests, they must then take the cart apart, slide it through a barricade, put it back together and make their way to the end. Two tribe members would then use the pieces inside the chest to assemble a giant dragon puzzle. The first two tribes to finish win.

Trivia

• This episode marks the first (and so far only) time a Tribe Switch resulted in three tribes.
• For the third episode in a row, the Immunity Challenge is a throwback of an inaugural Immunity Challenge from a previous season. Quest for Fire, Yank Your Hank and Draggin' the Dragon were the first Immunity Challenges of Survivor: Borneo, Survivor: Samoa, and Survivor: Cagayan respectively.
