A member of the Mogo tribe, Vidéli did not get off on the right foot with Nelson Parente, who argued with Vidéli over the construction of the shelter. Nelson felt that the tribe should build a floor for their shelter and Vidéli stated that the former's way of thinking was not convenient. When the Mogo tribe lost the first Immunity Challenge, older tribe member Jean-Bernard de Cools gave the middle finger to the Chapera tribe and threw his belt at them. Because Jean-Bernard was sanctioned for these actions by losing his right to vote at the first elimination and being exiled for 48 hours, he was unable to cast a crucial vote against Romuald Lafite that would have caused the vote to result in a tie. Instead, Vidéli joined the three youngest men in what was now a majority vote against Nelson, resulting in the latter's elimination.
Before the second Reward Challenge, Vidéli gravely splintered his heel and needed a bandage around his foot. Unfortunately, as the second Reward Challenge was the Mud Pack challenge, medics deemed him unfit to compete in it due to his bandage and he had to sit out. His pain in his heel worsened and he was evacuated before the third Immunity Challenge on Day 10. Later that day, his evacuation became permanent because his heel was not recovering, allowing for previously eliminated contestant Sophie Eeckhout to return to the game in his place.
