Profile[]
Profile retrieved from tf1.fr[1]
- Prénom: Valérie
- Age: 41 ans
- Profession: Géomètre experte
- Ville: Seine (75)
- Equipe: Mingao
Koh-Lanta[]
For the opening challenge for rice and for the power to choose their tribemates, Valérie was partnered with Bertrand Bolle, Christelle Gauzet, and Jean-Bernard Hauton-Arnaud. The team of Nathalie Ensargueix, Frédéric Favier, Christopher Lavaud, and Carole Rapin won the challenge and they did not select Valérie to be a part of the Tayak tribe. Therefore, Valérie became a member of the Mingao tribe. Upon arriving at camp, Valérie immediately got off on the wrong foot with Irya Cissé because the former asked the latter questions about how to prepare unfamiliar plants and fruits, which made the latter believe that the former was making assumptions based on the latter's race. Valérie also irked some of her tribemates, especially Hakim Djellali, with her way of telling people what they should do around camp and how the tribe should portion their food. The Tayak tribe initially won the first Reward Challenge, in which the reward was fire, but the victory and the reward were transferred to the Mingao tribe later that day as it was discovered that Frédéric and Christopher had broken the rules at one point in the challenge. During the first Immunity Challenge, which was the Hot Pursuit challenge, Valérie dropped out within a minute of the challenge, followed soon after by Irya. The Mingao tribe lost the challenge and both Irya and Valérie became targets for elimination. At Tribal Council, Valérie received three votes from Irya's minority alliance, but Irya was eliminated instead by the majority alliance as they felt that Irya was the weaker of the two.
Though she was relieved after Tribal Council to have not been eliminated, the next day, Valérie felt like quitting. To make matters worse, she earned the ire of her tribemates when she urgently called them over to their fire, which she thought was dying but turned out to be fine. At the end of the second Reward Challenge, when Jean-Bernard suffered from a heatstroke and had to be temporarily evacuated from the game, an exhausted Valérie suffered a panic attack and claimed to be seeing butterflies and flies. Upon returning to camp, Valérie informed her tribemates that it was evident that Koh-Lanta wasn't for her and that she was quitting. After the fact, Valérie's former tribemates felt relieved at her decision because she was out of her element and was holding her tribe back. Her unorthodox elimination allowed for Irya to return to the game in her place.
