Holding on to ropes connected to a disc-shaped platform, teams of contestants will attempt to balance a ball on the disc as they move to an end post. In Survivor South Africa: Santa Carolina, the first team to place their ball on the final post wins the challenge. In Australian Survivor (2017), the teams had to get a total of four balls to the end, which they will then use to shoot hoops.

The challenge debuted in Survivor South Africa: Santa Carolina as the first post-merge Reward Challenge. The Kululama tribe was randomly divided into three teams, with each team challenged to move a ball from their respective start posts to a single end post. The blue team of GiGi van Schalkwyk, Kaseran Pillay, and Okkert Brits won the challenge and a braai feast.
The challenge appeared as a Reward Challenge at the final eleven of Immunity Island. The Osindile tribe was divided into two teams of five, with the odd player out Santoni Engelbrecht placing her bets on the orange team to win. The orange team fell behind on the balance beams, but the green team fumbled on transferring their ball into the chute, giving the orange team the chance to pull ahead. Chappies Chapman then used the ball to knock down all four of the team's targets, winning himself, Santoni, Amy Eliason, Renier Louwrens, Tyson Zulu, and Wardah Hartley a pizza reward.
