Tribal Tiles (also known as Sudoku and Island Sudoku) is a challenge that debuted in Survivor: Vanuatu and has been used internationally as a recurring challenge in Survivor South Africa.
Each tribe will assign one member to be a caller. The caller will guide the rest of the tribe to solve a 4-by-4 puzzle so that there are no repeating symbols or colors in any row or column. The first tribe to solve the puzzle will win.

In Maldives, the puzzle concept was modified for use as an individual Immunity Challenge. The final six would arrange tiles in a 6-by-6 grid such that there were no repeating colors in any row or column. The challenge came down to a close race between Alison de Chazal and Letshego Moshoeu, with Letshego pulling off her second immunity win.
In Island of Secrets, the challenge appeared as a team Reward/Immunity Challenge. The members of the Manumalo tribe competed in teams of three and had to race relay-style to carry puzzle tiles across a set of monkey bars. Once all the tiles were collected, the team members would arrange them in a 4-by-4 grid such that there were no repeating colors in any row or column. The yellow team of Danté De Villiers, Jacques Burger, and Mike Venter held a lead in retrieving their tiles and sealed the deal by solving their puzzle first to win immunity and a trip to the Afu Aau waterfalls, where they would enjoy pasta and wine.
