Due to being aged under 30, Thomas was placed on the Coravu tribe. The winner of the concurrent individual opening challenge, Romain Delaroche, selected Thomas of the rival tribe to go to the Lost Paradise with him. While there, Thomas bonded well with Romain and the pair found two halves of a Hidden Immunity Necklace, but Thomas found himself with a social disadvantage upon returning to camp as his tribemates had had a chance to bond with each other without him. Fortunately, Thomas proved his worth as a strong swimmer and his status as the "last one in" got transferred to joker contestant May Peitavi on the third day. Regardless of May's positioning, after the Coravu tribe lost the second immunity challenge, Thomas took part in a blindside organized by Mel Moresve against Marvyn Leone in order to break up an emerging trio with Théotime Bernardin and André Deleplace that Marvyn was the leader of. Unfortunately for Thomas, before the third reward challenge, it was revealed that he had perforated his eardrum in a prior underwater challenge and would thus be permanently evacuated from the game. His unorthodox elimination allowed for Marvyn to return to the game in his place.
