This Is Where We Build Trust is the tenth episode of Survivor: San Juan del Sur.

Story

Day 24

Day 25

Day 26

Challenges

Challenge: Dirty Water Dog
The tribe will divide into two teams. A member from each team will dive into the water and swim to a platform. They will then climb up the platform and jump off it, while grabbing a key. Once they are back in the water, they will collect puzzle pieces and swim them back to their team's platform. Then the next person goes. Once each team has collected all their keys and puzzle pieces, they will use them to build a puzzle statue. The first team to get it right wins.
Reward: Delivering baseball gear to kids and baseball snacks
Winner: Yellow Team (Alec Christy, Jaclyn Schultz, Jon Misch, and Reed Kelly) (Reed Kelly gave up his reward to Missy Payne; exiled Wes Nale)

Challenge: Uncomfortably Numb
Each person will balance their feet on a very narrow perch while holding a handle above their head. If at any point, they let go of the handle or a foot comes off the perch, they are out of the challenge. The last person left standing wins immunity
Additional Stipulation: While the challenge is in progress, Jeff Probst would also tempt castaways to forfeit the challenge in exchange for food.
Winner: Reed Kelly

Trivia

Behind the Scenes

Other

  • This episode's Tribal Council has tied with "Tastes Like Chicken" and "The Line Will Be Drawn Tonight" for having the second-most number of nullified votes by the Hidden Immunity Idol with seven. The record was beaten in "You Call, We'll Haul".
    • This episode had the highest ratio of voided votes with 7 out of 9 (77.8%) compared to 9 out of 12 (75%) in You Call, We'll Haul and 5 out of 7 (71.4%) in "My Word Is My Bond". The record was beaten by "Not Going to Roll Over and Die", which had voided votes with 6 out of 7 (85.71%)
  • This was the first time since "Not the Only Actor on This Island" that a plurality vote was negated by an idol.
  • This was the first time since "Zipping Over the Cuckoo's Nest" that the majority of the votes were negated by idols.
  • This is the first time two idols were used successfully at the same Tribal Council.
    • This is the second time that two idols successfully negated two castaways' votes at the same Tribal Council since "Zipping Over the Cuckoo's Nest" (the first one having only one successful use as the other idol negated minority votes).
  • This is the second time a player stepped down from a challenge for chicken wings and beer and was subsequently voted out. The first was in "Go Out with a Bang" with Jay Byars.
  • This is the first time that more than one idol was used in Tribal Council by castaways in different alliances.
  • Baylor was the only member of the Blue Team during the Reward Challenge who was not a member of Hunahpu at any point pre-merge.

Episode Title

  • The title of the episode was said by Jon when Alec agreed to vote with his alliance.
