This Game Rips Your Heart Out is the eleventh episode of Survivor 45.
Story[]
| “ | Castaways celebrate a victory after tribal council. Then, castaways must rope a win in the individual immunity challenge to fight for safety and reward. | ” |
—Episode Synopsis[1] | ||
Night 19[]
The tribe celebrates Bruce's elimination when he still had an idol in his pocket. Emily reveals she successfully lied to Bruce to the whole tribe. Julie thinks she is more of a threat now. Reba four say that they are committed to final four. Austin and Dee spend time together alone, and reaffirm they will take each other to the Final Three.
Day 20[]
In the morning, Jake mopes on the beach, sad about being at the bottom. Katurah opens up about her background in an extreme religion to Julie and Jake.
Jeff Probst arrives on a boat and gives a note that only one castaway can go on the boat. The castaways draw rocks, with Emily being selected to go on the boat. Julie and Drew talk about removing Emily because she is becoming more of a jury threat. Julie and Dee talk about Drew potentially being the crack in their alliance. On the journey, Emily sees that she would have to complete the Day 1 challenge that stumped four players for a chance to get an idol; seeing the unfavorable odds, she chooses not to risk her vote for a slim chance of victory.
Drew approaches Katurah and Jake and moots the idea of voting out Dee or Julie as a big move. Katurah tries to get Austin to vote for Julie. The castaways bring up Julie's name, as everyone agrees she will win if she makes it to the end.
Day 21[]
Challenges[]
Reward/Immunity Challenge: Unspun Heroes
Attached to a rope, castaways will need to first race through a series of obstacles to untangle their rope. When they feel that they have enough rope, they must then go through a second set of obstacles in order to reach a table of sandbags. Using the sandbags, they must attempt to knock down a tower of blocks. Once their blocks have been knocked over, they will use the blocks to complete an arch-shaped word puzzle. The first person to spell RESOURCEFULNESS correctly on both sides of the arch wins.
Reward: Barbecue feast at camp.
Winner: Drew Basile (shared with Austin Li Coon and Jake O'Kane)

Drew and Jake were shown writing down Julie's name.
| “ | (voting against Julie) If you're still here at the Final Three, you have my vote for the million dollars and that's a problem. | ” |
| “ | (voting against Julie) Keeping you another day with my idol could be a million dollar mistake. | ” |
| “ | (voting against Julie) If this doesn't work, I blame Austin and his stupid emotional heart. | ” |
| “ | (voting against Julie) Play the damn idol! | ” |
Final Words[]
| “ | Nobody wants this to happen to them in Survivor, but what an epic way to go. Uh, but this has been the most amazing experience of my life. I learned that when I come on really strong and aggressive, then it's probably not the best way to make friends or alliances in this game, but I'm so pleased that I was given so many extra days here to really change myself, pivot my strategy, and learn a lot along the way. | ” |
