The Third Turd is the fifth episode of Survivor 44.
Story[]
Night 9[]
Day 10[]
Day 11[]
As Carolyn, Josh, and Yam Yam prepare to leave for Tribal Council, Jeff Probst shows up to Tika beach. He sits down with the Tika three, and Yam Yam guesses that Matthew might have been pulled from the game. Jeff affirms Yam Yam's prediction, and informs Tika that Tribal Council has been cancelled due to Matthew quitting the game. The announcement draws mixed reactions from the tribe, with Carolyn expressing frustration that she was not able to vote Josh out as planned.
Challenges[]
Reward/Immunity Challenge: EOC
The castaways from each tribe will be tethered to each other at the waist. They will begin by racing through a tunnel filled with sticks. They will then make their way over and under a series of hitching posts. Then, they will grab a bucket, fill it with water, and make their way over a giant teeter-totter. They will then pour the water from their bucket into a larger bucket. Once the larger bucket is full, it will lower a gate. The team will then race through the gate; two members will then be tasked to maneuver a table maze. The first two tribes to land three balls at the end of the table maze win.
Reward: The tribe that finishes first will elect one member of each tribe to go on a journey.
Additional Stipulation: The losing tribe must forfeit their flint, though they can win it back if they win the next Immunity Challenge.
Winners (in order of finish): Ratu and Soka (Ratu sent Brandon Cottom, Carolyn Wiger, and Danny Massa on a journey)

Final Words[]
Matthew |
“ | I came out here for the journey, and in a lot of ways, I achieved a lot of goals. Was the journey a little bit short? Absolutely, but I feel like I'm leaving the game a much stronger person and I know I have the skills to get wherever I want to go. The only regret that I have is I shouldn't have climbed that rock. | ” |
