The Stick is a recurring challenge from Survivor South Africa that tests the reflexes of the contestants.
Rules[]
Two opponents will compete head-to-head in a test of reflexes. They will stand facing a table which contains a mechanism that will release a stick. The host will then activate the mechanism, causing the stick to project upwards through a hole. The first person to grab that stick cleanly scores a point. If the stick falls to the ground, the round is voided. The first tribe or individual to score three points wins.
History[]
The challenge debuted as a Reward Challenge in Panama. The Rana tribe broke their streak of Reward Challenge losses to win a braai feast.
In Champions, the challenge was used as a Salvation Duel. The "Champions" Corné Krige and Mark Fish competed in a test of reflexes for control over the Salvation Cup. By a score of 3-1, Mark won his second Salvation Duel.
