The Game is Afoot is a recurring challenge of Survivor. It was first used in Survivor: San Juan del Sur and was reused in Survivor: Cambodia and Survivor: Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers.

Rules

Using only their feet, castaways must unwind a rope to release blocks that they will use to assemble a three-tiered tower. Once the tower is assembled, they must place a flag in the middle of the tower. The first castaway to do so wins.

History

The challenge debuted in Survivor: San Juan del Sur, where it was used as the final ten Immunity Challenge. After Reed Kelly and Keith Nale faltered with their final blocks, Baylor Wilson was able to stay steady and win immunity.

In Survivor: Cambodia, the challenge appeared as the final nine Immunity Challenge. Spencer Bledsoe managed to win, ending Joe Anglim's immunity streak after previously winning four consecutive Immunity Challenges.

In Survivor: Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers, the challenge was used as the final nine Reward Challenge. Mike Zahalsky held the lead up until the end, when a minor mistake allowed Lauren Rimmer to push ahead and secure the win. Lauren won a feast of cheeseburgers, french fries, and beer and shared the reward with Devon Pinto, Ben Driebergen, and Ashley Nolan. They also received letters from home.

• Jeremy Collins and Keith Nale have each competed in this challenge twice. They lost both times.
• Spencer Bledsoe is the only male to win this challenge.
• Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers is the only season where this challenge was played for reward.
