“ | The fact that you get blindsided literally by your own body, this goes to show you that this game is anything-can-happen. And I think that, like, that's the main lesson I learn is generally speaking like Mother Nature is pretty awesome forth. And this game is tough, I don't know. Sucks, man. | ” |

Trivia[]
- This is the first episode since "Call the Whambulence!" in Panama to not have somebody voted out.
- This is the first time that a contestant was medically evacuated right after the merge. This would later happen in "It's Merge Time" in Kaôh Rōng.
- Joe became the first person to make the merge and not be a member of the jury since Nick Stanbury in Panama. He would be followed by Corinne Kaplan in Caramoan, Julie McGee in San Juan del Sur, Kelly Remington in Worlds Apart, and Jessica Johnston in Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers.
- This is the third Survivor episode to have no Tribal Council after "Trial by Fire" and "Medical Emergency" and would not happen again until "Million Dollar Decision". This episode also marks the first time that an Immunity Challenge was held but no Tribal Council afterwards. This would not occur again until "Million Dollar Decision" and "It's Merge Time", which coincidentally were also both merge episodes.
- During Brendan's confessional about the Exile Alliance, the profession in his chyron is misspelled as "Entrepenuer".
- Jeff Probst revealed[2] in 2023 that Tocantins was planned to have a Final Three, but due to "extenuating circumstances" they had to do a Final Two. As the U.S. contracts stipulate[3] that a jury has to have a minimum of seven people, it can be deduced that the jury was intended by production to start with this episode, but Joe's evacuation made him unable to be on the jury, leading to the Final Two.
