Tara Macias

Tara Jane Macias is a contestant from Survivor Philippines: Palau.

Abrasive and snobbish, Tara's penchant for histrionics led to her many arguments with several of her tribemates, causing her to be at the bottom of the many alliances within her tribe. While she managed to reach the jury phase, her poor social positioning among everyone finally caused her to be voted off at the final 10.

"I am not afraid to die, to suffer and to get lost, and with that mindset, overall fear has no place in me as I fear no evil and that makes me a real survivor."

At the age of 16, when their father passed away and their family business had to close down, Tara vowed to be self-supporting and to help her family get back on its feet. She has been working as an English language tutor to Koreans as well as a call center representative. "I learned early about the hardships of being poor, so all of this is a piece of cake to me." Tara said passionately in English. Tara describes herself as an extreme person, God-fearing yet liberated and a certified party-goer. Being very outspoken and confident, Tara admits that people get easily intimidated by her. But she's also very personable despite the usual first impression. She sticks to her principles and always does her best in any situation. "Many doesn't understand me. Many are angry with me.", Tara admits in English. "I am quite wishy-washy. That is because have different moods everytime. Sometimes I'm strict, sometimes I'm a snob. But if people see me moving in the dance floor, they say I'm plastic.", she said in English.
