Survivor Wiki:Social Media Policy

This policy provides a framework for accessing and referencing the social media activity of individuals affiliated with the Survivor series, including both contestants and production personnel.

This policy applies to all personalities connected to the Survivor franchise, encompassing contestants, producers, hosts, and any other members of the Survivor production team, across all versions of the show.

Assume Good Faith

We at Survivor Wiki assume that all contributors act in good faith when accessing the social media profiles of Survivor personalities—whether they are contestants, producers, or hosts. It is expected that all interactions be respectful and considerate, adhering to a standard of decency.

Acceptable References

When referencing social media activity in articles, the following sources may be used as valid references (this is not an exhaustive list):

• Official websites or pages that showcase media appearances made by a personality before and/or after their time on Survivor;
• Interviews published on official and affiliated websites;
• Appearances on podcasts or other media where the personality has shared significant behind-the-scenes insights or personal accounts;
• Public posts of significant events in the person's life before and after appearing on Survivor, such as engagement, wedding, pregnancy, coming out as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, imprisonment, divorce, or death.

Unacceptable References

The following sources are strictly prohibited as references on Survivor Wiki (also not an exhaustive list):

• Websites or pages that contain mature or inappropriate content;
• Spoiler sites (please refer to the Spoiler Policy for more information);
• Posts that spread misinformation and disinformation;
• Social media accounts that are set to private, locked, or not intended for public interaction regarding Survivor even if screenshots are shared elsewhere; and
• Social media accounts that assume a fake online identity to trick others into believing they are the real person (also known as catfishing).
