This is the second episode of Survivor South Africa: Champions.

Story

Day 2

Selatan lost the Immunity Challenge and, with Tribal Council looming, their captain Corné had only one request: to vote against the weakest person and not the most threatening. Even though Zavion wanted to vote David off at first, he changed it to Shona to honor his captain's wishes, thinking he had the numbers. However, Graham went rogue to form his own alliance with the people excluded from Zavion's inner circle; after securing Moyra, Altaaf, and Gena, he also approached David and got Shona on board, giving him the majority in the tribe.

With no threat of Tribal Council, the Utara tribe cleaned up their camp and made some improvements, while Shane and Marian set out to strengthen their alliance. Marian recruited Sivu for the alliance, while Shane got Stephen on board.

	Marian	“	I'm really grateful that I've got this bond with Shane; and, you know, I trust Shane…	”

Day 3

In mail, the captains received a confidential letter instructing them to select the two members of their tribe that they think would be voted out first and send them off to a challenge. Mark sent Sonette and Buhle from Utara to compete, while Corné nominated David and Shona from Selatan. The pairs had to make a fire and light a torch to win a fire-making kit for their tribe. Buhle and Sonette won for Utara, but there was something else up for grabs: a clue to a Hidden Immunity Idol.

Back at Selatan camp, David found the idol within minutes while Shona distracted the rest of the tribe. With Tribal Council approaching, Zavion confidently confirmed with the rest of the tribe that Shone would be the first to go.

At Tribal Council, Graham and his alliance had a plan of their own: voting out Ashleigh, one of Zavion's closest allies, saving Shona in the process and making this vote the first blindside of Survivor South Africa: Champions.

Challenges

Reward Challenge: Fire Fight
The two tribe members deemed the weakest by each captain will compete in this challenge on behalf of their tribe. The representatives will pull on a chain in the sand to reveal a fire kit. Using the kit, they will then have to build a fire strong enough to light a torch. After that, they then must light a fire circle with the lit torch. The first tribe to light their circle wins.
Reward: Fire-starting kit.
Additional Stipulation: The two representatives will also receive a clue to the Hidden Immunity Idol.

Final Words

	Ashleigh	“	I feel disappointed in myself. I know I could go much farther in this game. I would like to think that people saw me as a threat. All in all, this experience has been amazing. Wish it had lasted longer, but that's the way the game is, and I still love it. This experience was so cool. It was a dream come true.	”
