Challenges[]
Redemption Island Duel: Jail Break
Starting from behind a makeshift cage wall, players must use sticks and rope to create a long pole to retrieve a number of keys. The first two castaways to use their keys to open all their locks and get through their door stay in the game.
Reward: The survivors of the duel may each write a letter to one of the castaways left in the main game.
Winners (in order of finish): Nicolas Brunette and Sylvain Béland
Reward Challenge: Touchy Subjects
In a majority rules competition, the tribe would answer questions pertaining to a different subject and castaway. If a castaway was correct and guessed the majority answer, where they would cut another castaway's rope. If all three of a castaway's ropes were cut, they would be eliminated. The last person standing wins.
Reward: A visit to Bulalacao Falls, where the winner will enjoy fruits and juices.
Winner: Christophe Tiffet (shared with Jean-Junior Morin and Sandrine Fortier)
Immunity Challenge: Station By Station
The castaways must race out to a series of stations with a certain number of objects at each station. The count of the objects must then be used to unlock a combination lock. The first castaway to open their lock wins.
Additional Stipulation: Castaways were given the choice to sit out of the challenge and eat club sandwiches, Caesar salad, chips, and sparkling water.

“ | Pour vrai, je suis fier de moi. Je ne pense pas que j'aurais pu donner mieux, donc, il n'y a aucune déception quand tu donnes ton 100%. Je suis le premier membre du jury. Sincèrement, je suis content parce qu'au moins, je suis le premier de quelque chose. Je préfère beaucoup mieux être le premier qu'être, admettons, le cinquième parce que là, je vais vraiment pouvoir voir tout le monde. Et pour vrai, mon parcours, je suis fier de moi. Le monde va se souvenir de la première personne qui a fait le jury. Je n'ai aucune déception puis j'ai hâte d'aller prendre une douche. Sur l'Île de la Rédemption, je ne vais pas te mentir, c'est vraiment long pis t'as beaucoup de temps de réfléchir. Donc, je me suis fait décider sur des trucs qui n'étaient même pas nécessairement vrais sur comment mon élimination s'est passée. J'avais besoin de savoir si c'était Maryse qui avait voté contre moi. Maryse m'a confirmé que ce n'était pas elle. Je peux juste m'en aller avec le sourire, ça m'a fait vraiment du bien d'entendre ça. Et je voulais laisser un message à JJ pour lui dire que c'était lui que je visais et pas Chris. En connaissant JJ, il a été affecté, c'est sûr, mais je suis allé lui voir après. C'est un bon gars et il sait que je l'aime, JJ. Je ne pense pas que les autres pensent que Justine est une menace comme elle est; je pense qu'ils lui sous-estiment. Son niveau social est très fort et je pense qu'il est fort à un point que personne ne s'en doute. Elle peut te mentir en pleine face et tu ne le verras jamais. Donc avec ça, je pense qu'elle a de bonnes chances de se rendre loin. Les trois joueurs que j'aimerais voir gagner: niveau stratégique, je dirais Joël parce que son jeu est incroyable, niveau émotionnel, je dirais Maryse parce que je l'aime beaucoup et je suis fier de ce qu'elle a accompli jusque-là. Un autre joueur que j'aimerais aussi voir gagner c'est Sylvain le Phoenix. Ce gars-là, s'il retourne une deuxième fois dans le jeu, il a clairement mon vote. Sincèrement, j'étais venu à Survivor pour faire plusieurs défis que j'avais vus dans les émissions qui étaient clairement dans ma zone de confort pour pouvoir me pousser. Durant ma saison, je me suis dépassé. Je ne pensais même pas pleurer une seule fois. J'ai plus que dépassé mes limites. Je ne pensais pas non plus, en arrivant là, me rendre à ce niveau-là. J'étais avec une communauté avec qui je ne suis pas habitué d'être. J'ai passé 28 jours à tous les jours ne pas être dans ma zone de confort. J'ai appris à me connaître sous d'autres facettes que dans la vraie vie je n'aurais pas pu explorer. Je dirais que Survivor m'a appris à être confortable à être inconfortable et je vais me souvenir de ça toute ma vie.
For real, I'm proud of myself. I don't think I could have done better, so there's no disappointment when you give your 100%. I am the first member of the jury. Honestly, I'm happy because at least I'm the first of something. I'd much prefer to be the first than to be, let's admit, the fifth because in this position, I will really be able to see everyone. And for real, my journey, I'm proud of myself. Everyone will remember the first person who made the jury. I have no disappointments and I can't wait to take a shower. On Redemption Island, I'm not going to lie to you, it's really long and you have a lot of time to think. So, I formed opinions on stuff that wasn't even necessarily true about how my elimination happened. I needed to know if it was Maryse who voted against me. Maryse confirmed to me that it was not her. I can just walk away with a smile, it felt really good to hear that. And I wanted to leave a message for JJ to tell him that I was targeting him and not Chris. Knowing JJ, he was affected for sure, but I went to see him afterwards. He's a good guy and he knows I love him, JJ. I don't think other people think Justine is a threat like she is; I think they underestimate her. Her social level is very strong and I think she is so strong that no one suspects it. She can lie to your face and you'll never see it. So with that, I think she has a good chance of making it far. The three players I would like to see win: on a strategic level, I would say Joël because his game is incredible, on an emotional level, I would say Maryse because I love her very much and I am proud of what she has achieved so far. Another player I would also like to see win is Sylvain the Phoenix. This guy, if he gets back in the game a second time, he clearly has my vote. Honestly, I had come to Survivor to do several challenges that I had seen on the shows that were clearly in my comfort zone to be able to push myself. During my season, I surpassed myself. I didn't even think I would cry once. I have more than exceeded my limits. I didn't think either, when I got there, that I'd even get to that level. I was with a community that I'm not used to being with. I spent 28 days everyday not being in my comfort zone. I got to know myself in other facets that in real life I wouldn't have been able to explore. I would say Survivor taught me how to be comfortable being uncomfortable and I will remember that for the rest of my life. |
