This is the ninth episode of Survivor New Zealand: Thailand.

Story

Day 25

Brad and Tess discuss splitting the vote between Dave and Eve at the next Tribal Council. They also plan on getting rid of Matt once all of the former Chanis are picked off.

Day 26

Dave tells Matt that he's in possession of a Hidden Immunity Idol, this further cements their secret alliance.

After the Immunity Challenge, the target shifts to Dave. Matt, not wanting to lose his secret friend in the game, pulls Adam and Lisa aside to take out Brad. Brad tries to orchestrate a split vote in case Dave has the Hidden Immunity Idol, with Renee being the secondary target.

At Tribal Council, Dave pleads with the rest of the tribe to spare him. No-one plays an Idol. Brad is blindsided in a 5-3-1 vote and becomes the second member of the jury.

Challenge: 5x5
Contestants must race over, untie three bags of 5 sandbags each, then attempt to toss five sandbags into five squares.
Reward: John West brand canned tuna, salmon, and other tuna melt sandwich makings.
Winner: Brad Norris (shared with Dave Lipanovic, Matt Hancock and Tess Fahey)

Challenge: This Much
Contestants must stretch out their arms and use their fingertips to hold up two discs weighed down by ceramic pots. The last person still holding up their discs wins.
Winner: Eve Clarke

Final Words

	Brad	“	Yeah, I'm shocked. Um, yeah, massive blindside. I fully trusted some people and they decided to go the other way, so that's the way it is, it's what this game's about. Well played whoever initiated this blindside. I regret not playing the idol, um, if I had the smallest inkling that I could be on the block then, um, I would have played it for sure.	”
