This is the eighth episode of Survivor New Zealand: Thailand.

Story

Day 22

After the Reward Challenge, it is revealed that the mystery reward is a basket of purple merge buffs. It's announced that the tribes have merged into Phsan ("to merge" in Thai) and they will live in the old Khangkhaw camp. An additional reward of comfort items will also be waiting for them at Tree Mail.

Day 24

After the Immunity Challenge, the former Chani members try to get Adam and Matt on their side and plan to vote for Lisa. Lisa herself approaches the two and puts forward her idea. Matt promises Dave that he's safe but Dave isn't convinced and confesses that he may have to play his Hidden Immunity Idol tonight.

At Tribal Council, Lisa decides to use her advantage to steal Arun's vote. Dave doesn't play his Idol in the end, and Arun becomes the first member of the jury in a 5-3-2 vote.

Challenge: Coco Connection
One at a time, contestants fire a slingshot at a 5x5 grid of tiles. First tribe to knock out 5 tiles in a vertical, horizontal, or diagonal row wins reward (not shown until challenge ends).
Reward: Merge buffs (and later comfort items).

Winner: Khangkhaw

Challenge: House of Cards
Contestants must stack 120 wooden tiles to build a house of cards. First to hit 3 meters, or the highest stack after 20 minutes wins.

Winner: Matt Hancock

Final Words

	Arun	“	Pretty shocked at, um, the result. I thought I had a few more allies. We thought bringing Matt through was a lifeline, gave him enough to jump ship and jump with us, but you can't just rely on people's words. I've got a beautiful family at home, having this a part of my journey in life, I won't regret anything about it.	”
