Survivor Hrvatska & Srbija 2023

Survivor Hrvatska & Srbija 2023 is the second season of the United Media incarnation of Survivor Hrvatska & Srbija.

This season was 8 days shorter than its predecessor and featured 1 medical evacuation. All of the format changes introduced in Dominikanska Republika were carried over to this one, with a few small twists added throughout the game. After 64 days, Antonia Ivić and Nataša Kondić earned the titles of Croatian and Serbian Sole Survivor respectively, after defeating Denis Sviličić and Anja Andrejić in the final challenge. Nataša also became the first winner in the history of Survivor Hrvatska & Srbija to play a Perfect Game, as she received no votes during the game, then got every jury vote to advance to the final and won in the final challenge, as well as the first Serbian woman to win either franchise.

Production[]

Applications for the season were opened during the Dominikanska Republika finale. The season itself was the formally announced on February 17, 2023.^[1]^[2] Over the course of the month, it was confirmed that Bojan Perić and Mario Mlinarić would be coming back to host, as well as the location being the Dominican Republic again.^[3]^[4]^[5] Nova TV also confirmed the season would premiere on March 6, 2023, and revealed the entire cast.^[6]

Companion series[]

In Serbia, after the Friday episode each week, a companion show titled Survivor plus will air. It is hosted by Serbian television personality Danijela Buzurović, and gives the viewers an exclusive look into moments that occur on the island that aren't shown in the episodes, as well as moments from past seasons, interviews with past contestants, on-sight personnel, and Twitter highlights.^[7]

In Croatia, commentary videos by the Dominikanska Republika cast (who are occasionally joined by the current cast) are released at the end of each cycle.^[8]

Twists/Changes[]

National Tribes: The cast features 9 Croats, 10 Serbs, and 1 Bosnian. The Croats and Bosnian are on Plavi while the Serbs are on Crveni.
Impromptu Tribal Council: On Day 10, An impromptu Tribal Council was held to announce the medical evacuation of Mihaela Pavlović. She was replaced by Sanja Miočić the next day.
New Castaways: 2 new castaways joined each tribe on Day 12.
More Powerful Individual Immunity Necklace: Starting with Cycle 6, the holder of individual immunity will have the right to nominate one more person from their tribe at Tribal Council, alongside the tribe's nominee. The immunity winner's nominee is revealed at the second Tribal Council of the cycle (they can also nominate one more person if their tribe goes to Tribal Council twice).
Final Pre-Jury Cycle Format: Cycle 9 had only one Reward Challenge, followed by 2 Immunity Challenges. The Friday episode was dedicated to the start of the jury phase of the game.
One World and Jury: With 15 players remaining, the tribes started living at one camp together, and the eliminated contestants made up the jury.

Notes: ^1 Mihaela was not able to compete in the individual Immunity Challenge due to her being treated for injuries. She was given automatic immunity as a result, but she was also not allowed to vote at Tribal Council. ^2 Mihaela was replaced by Sanja Miočić after her evacuation. ^3 Jelena Perković, Kalu Jovanović, Nikolina Ambulija, and Leo Cvetković join the game. ^4 The vote resulted in a tie.
