Supervivientes: Perdidos en Nicaragua is the eleventh season of Supervivientes.
After 80 days, María José Fernández defeated Déborah Arenas and Parri Parrado in a public vote to become the Sole Survivor.
Production[]
For the first time since Perdidos en el Caribe, filming took place in a location different to that of Honduras, this time filming in Pearl Cays, Nicaragua. Jesús Vázquez reprised his role as host once again, with Eva González serving as a replacement for Mario Picazo. Similar to the two previous seasons, it was decided that the contestants would be initially split into two tribes, this time based on their level of fame in Spanish media, including 9 regular citizens, making this the first use of normal Spanish citizens since Aventura en África.
Midway through filming, journalist José Manuel Parada, who acted as a guest castaway for the season, was invited by production to become an official castaway in order to replace recent quitter Miguel Macías, but he declined the offer.
Twists/Changes[]
- Tribe Composition: The eighteen original castaways were initially separated into one tribe of ten and one tribe of eight.
- Celebrities vs. Citizens: The cast was initially divided between the "Celebrities" and the "Anonymous".
- Public Vote: At the end of each week, after contestants were nominated, the public would vote for a nominated contestant to be eliminated.
- Final Three: The winner would be decided by a public vote, in which the public would vote for who they would like to win. In the first vote, the castaway who received the least votes would be eliminated. In the second vote, the castaway who received the most votes would be declared the winner.
