Supervivientes: Perdidos en Honduras (2009) is the tenth season of Supervivientes.
After 84 days, Maite Zúñiga defeated Matías Fernández and Ivonne Orsini in a public vote to become the Sole Survivor.
Production[]
Like the preceding two seasons, filming took place in the Cayos Cochinos, Honduras. Jesús Vázquez and Mario Picazo reprised their roles as hosts once again. Similar to the previous season, it was decided that the contestants would be split into two tribes, this time based on gender.
A few days before production officially began, actor Michel Gurfi, who was originally cast for the season, was ejected by production due to disputes over his contract. He was quickly replaced by model Roberto Liaño.
This season saw the arrival of Sálvame, a companion chat show broadcast after the gala discussing the week's events, presented by future Supervivientes host Jorge Javier Vázquez.
Twists/Changes[]
- Tribe Composition: The fourteen castaways were initially separated into two tribes of seven.
- Battle of the Sexes: The cast was initially divided according to gender.
- Judas Kiss: The Judas Kiss would allow a player to cast a vote after being voted out.
- Public Vote: At the end of each week, after contestants were nominated, the public would vote for a nominated contestant to be eliminated. The final three were subjected to a public vote. The castaway who received the most votes would be eliminated.
- Final Three: The winner would be decided by a public vote, in which the public would vote for who they would like to win. In the first vote, the castaway who received the least votes would be eliminated. In the second vote, the castaway who received the most votes would be declared the winner.
