Supervivientes: Expedición Robinson 2000 is the first season of Supervivientes.
Xavier Monjonell defeated María Elena García in a 5-2 jury vote to become the Sole Survivor.
Production[]
This season was filmed in Bastimentos Island, Panama. The prize for the winner was 10,000,000 pesetas - equivalent to roughly US$70,000 in 2023.
Format[]
- Tribe Composition: The sixteen castaways were divided into two tribes of eight.
- Mock Vote: After a castaway was evacuated, the tribe that lost the Immunity Challenge sent the person "voted out" to the rival tribe instead to be its newest member.
- Merge: The merged tribe was composed of ten members.
- Semi-Final: At the final four, two challenges occurred, with the winner of each challenge casting the sole vote to eliminate. This formed the Final Two.

Voting History[]
Trivia[]
- The youngest and oldest castaways of the season were voted out first and second, respectively.
- The series was recorded by TVE following a format very close to the Swedish version, however due to the furore surrounding Gran Hermano on Telecinco (which eventually became a smash hit) they pulled out before airing it. After the success of GH, Telecinco picked up the series.
- Telecinco felt the show was "too Swedish", with Juanma López Iturriaga considered a very wooden host. For the show's return in 2001, producers were asked to make more room for conflicts and drama, rather than simply being out on a desert island.[2]
