Station By Station (also known as Combo Platter) is a recurring memory challenge that debuted in Survivor: Panama, and has since reappeared in Samoa and Cagayan.
Castaways must race out to a series of stations, with a certain number of objects at each station. When they count the objects, they would return to their station and use the numbers to open a series of combination locks. The first person to finish would win.
History[]
United States[]
The challenge debuted in Panama, where it was the backdrop of an infamous fight between Terry Deitz and Aras Baskauskas, when Aras managed to finally beat Terry at a challenge to win reward.
In Samoa, the final six competed for immunity, and for the second time in a row, Brett Clouser won, putting a wrench in the Foa Foa Four's plans.
The challenge was used again as the Immunity Challenge for the final six of Cagayan. After 25 minutes of trial and error, Spencer Bledsoe got his numbers right and won immunity, ending Tasha Fox's streak of Immunity Challenge victories.
Quebec[]
The challenge appeared in Survivor Québec (2023). Prior to the challenge, the members of Pag-asa were offered club sandwiches, Caesar salad and chips if they sat out of the challenge; Justine Turpin took the offer and gave up her shot at immunity. Kimberly Fortin finished the challenge seconds before Joël Dandurand to win immunity.
South Africa[]
The challenge appeared as an Immunity Challenge at the final five of Return of the Outcasts. Prior to the challenge, Shane Hattingh found a Challenge Advantage at camp; the advantage informed him that the Euphorbia tree had 31 branches to be counted. While the majority alliance of Shane, Dino Paulo, Killarney Jones and Marian de Vos openly colluded to deprive Phil Dickson of immunity, Phil defied them to win his fourth individual Immunity Challenge, as well as the reward of hotdogs and beer.
