Squatty Probst is a recurring endurance challenge that debuted in Survivor: Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers and later reappeared in Edge of Extinction.
Rules
Castaways must stand in a squatting position, releasing the safety from their apparatus holding up an urn of water above a fire. Should they stand too high, their urn will spill, extinguishing their fire. If they go too low, a flag will release, eliminating them from the challenge. The last castaway standing wins.
History
The challenge debuted in Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers as the final ten Immunity Challenge. The challenge eventually came down to Lauren Rimmer and Cole Medders, with the latter dropping his urn and the former winning immunity.
The challenge would later reappear in Edge of Extinction, where before the challenge, Jeff Probst offered the castaways pizza in exchange of not competing in the challenge. Lauren O'Connell, Victoria Baamonde, Kelley Wentworth, and Ron Clark decided to opt out and eat the pizza. The challenge eventually came down to David Wright and Aurora McCreary, with the former dropping his urn and the latter winning much-needed immunity.
