Day 37[]
Day 38[]
Jeff arrives at camp to tell Chris, Scout, and Twila it is time for their final Rites of Passage, which will take place on the nearby island. Jeff also tells them the island from the story he told them on Day 37 has been right across from them the whole season. The castaways paddle to the island for the rite of passage walk to pay respects to the 15 voted out before, and make their way to their final Immunity Challenge. After Scout pierced her paper marker and was out of the challenge, Chris attempts to make a deal with Twila, but she does not listen. In the end, after 1 hour 7 minutes, Twila starts to lose her balance, and in the process pierced her paper marker, and Chris won final immunity and a guaranteed spot in the Final Two.
After the immunity challenge, they paddle back to camp. Chris and Twila congratulate each other by hugging it out, but suspect the other one made a deal to go to the end with Scout. Chris tells Scout he is not sure who he is going to bring to the end, and asks if she and Twila had an agreement to go to the final 2, but Scout tells him they had a pact to go to the final 4 together and vote Eliza out. Chris admits he is startled because he thought they had an agreement going forward, and respects Scout's honesty.
At Tribal Council, Jeff brings up the deal Chris tried making to Twila, and he said he didn't think they were good after Scout told Twila to "hang in there." Scout said she felt good about both Chris and Twila and believes there can't be a bad outcome because they are "just amazing people." When Jeff asks Twila if there is a bad outcome for her, she said "most definitely", stating said she worked hard to get to the final 3 and doesn't want to settle for 3rd. Jeff reminds Chris that all that has to factor in the $900,000 decision he is making, and Chris verbally respects both of them for how they played to get to the final 3, but he is not going to focus on how they played the game, but more on how he played the game and that he has to finish. In the end, Chris stayed true to his agreement with Twila and voted out Scout.
Day 39[]
On Day 39, Chris and Twila celebrate lasting to the very end. Chris believes Twila's outspokenness can be used to his advantage. Twila believes she played the game the best because she did not suck up to anybody or pretend to be what she wasn't, and that she deserves the jury's votes as much as Chris. As they continue to enjoy Day 39, they lay together on a hammock and laugh as it collapses with them in it. Chris recounts becoming the last man standing and ending up in the final 2 with one woman, wondering if the women's alliance will influence the vote. Chris and Twila get ready for Final Tribal Council, and say goodbye to their camp as they head out.
At Final Tribal Council, Jeff welcomes Twila and Chris and takes the Immunity Necklace from Chris. Chris gives his opening statement first by saying he feels he deserves to win for not only being loyal to his alliances, but because he overcame more odds than anybody else, being the last man standing with 6 women. Twila begins her opening statement by saying her one goal was to win the $1 million to better her and her son's lives. She said she played the game to win, and she played hard, but admitted she didn't do everything she should have done and should have done more, and everything she did was to win the game, believing she should be the Sole Survivor.
The jury then addressed Twila and Chris. Eliza Orlins was up first, and she addresses a few comments to both of them before asking her question. Eliza congratulated Twila on achieving what she said she would do to get to the end, calling her a "deceptive, lying b*tch" throughout the game. She also told Twila that she never treated her with an ounce of respect would envy her position in the game, but not her life, and did admit Twila played a good game. Eliza told Chris that he shocked her because she did not know he would be a "deceptive, lying b*tch" like she knew Twila would be, and that he pretended to be her friend and constantly stabbed her in the back. She requests an apology from both of them, and Twila defends her accusations about treating Eliza with disrespect, but Eliza gets annoyed with her response. Chris says he did not intend to do Eliza any wrong by making that pact, but that he did it as a strategy, and admits he does owe her an apology for breaking their pact.
Julie Berry was next to speak. She addresses Twila first, saying she saw her tactics, antics, and tried to get her out of the game 5 or 6 times, but that her energy is focused on Chris and whether she is voting for or against him. Julie tells Chris he approached her as a friend and asked for help with nothing to gain for herself. Her first question to Chris is asking why he had to base things on their friendship and on things she felt were real. Chris answers her question by telling her she was the hardest decision he made, and she asked agin why the elaborate story. He says his intention was for them to stick together and that he lied, but can't take it back. Her next question is when he started playing her and she demands the truth. Chris said he did not played her, but admits he did lie to her and let his heart get in the way, and decided to write her name down her at the voting booth. Chris apologizes as he finishes his response.
Leann Slaby tells Twila her turning point was when she turned on their alliance and voted her out, and asks her to explain her thought process in betraying her trust. Twila said she believed it was them two, plus Ami Cusack and Scout, but believed Leann could have turned her hack any time upon doing the same to Scout by bringing Julie into the alliance. Leann tells Chris she was true to the women's alliance and planned to see it through to the end, but asked him to convince her to ""abandon that way of thinking." Chris tells her Twila came to him and offered him a chance to get further in the game.
Ami is next, and she tells Twila that she had the chance to make an apology to win, but she would instead lie and break friendships for a million dollars. Ami tells Chris she is baffled why he flat-out lied to two people for no reason. She asks Chris what attributes he has sitting there, and he answers by saying she is on the jury because she has a soft heart and she gave him a break, unlike him, and her personal feelings led to her being voted out. Twila apologizes to her and Leann for swearing on her son's name, admitting it was wrong for her to bring him into it.
Chad Crittenden starts with Twila, and he tells her to think about her experiences in the last 30 days and what changed her. Twila said she needs to watch what she says and how she comes across, knowing she is quick to judge and how bad it is. Chad asks the same to Chris, and he says the thing that changed him was playing with the final 9 people and the qualities they possess when there is a million dollars at stake.
Sarge starts with Twila, telling her he holds true to his beliefs and values of loyalty, duty, respect, and honor, and would never want to see her again or have any contact with her, but congratulates her for outplaying him. He asks her if casting her son's name to hell worth a million dollars and demands a yes or no response, to which Twila answers "No." Sarge moves on to Chris, and asks him where their friendship stands and if it still stands strong as it was before. Chris tells Sarge there is no price on friendship and they will remain friends since they developed a friendship from when they met, but doesn't care if he gives his vote to Twila or him.
Scout is the last juror to speak. She tells Twila they formed an alliance from the beginning, and tells Chris she was with him long enough to know his response to the other jurors. Scout values the integrity of Twila's ability to still speak her truth, even if it gets her in trouble sometimes and thanks Chris for the "38 day ride."
The finalists then gave their closing statements. Twila told the jury she didn't come into the game intentionally wanting to deceive or lie to anyone, and all she's thought about since day 1 was how to better her life. She also said she never worried about anyone else's feelings and admits it was selfish of her. Chris owns up to all of his mistakes and apologizes to most of the jury members, while hoping to mend broken fences and not leave any lasting scars. Ultimately, Chris would claim the title of Sole Survivor over Twila in a 5-2 vote.

“ | I'm definitely disappointed that Chris voted for me. I was shocked that he wrote my name down when he said he wasn't going to and he, you know, gave me his word, the whole pact. It turns out, I did not have a single ally this entire game. I look for the best in people and it's definitely going to change my outlook and, yeah, that hurts. | ” |
