Shay Tapusoa

Shayna "Shay" Jolan Swain-Tapusoa is a contestant from Survivor New Zealand: Nicaragua.

Shay seemingly started off as the strongest woman, socially and physically. This put her in a strong position in the tribe, with close bonds with Sala Tiatia and Avi Duckor-Jones. Despite this good position, she often made several questionable moves, putting a target on her back. After a tribe swap, she was put in the new Mogotón tribe as the only woman, and was voted out after the rest of tribe threw the Immunity Challenge in hopes of eliminating her. Their plan backfired as Shay defeated Georgia Bergerson in her first Redemption Island duel, which also brought her back into the game at the merge. She immediately joined the majority with new-found friend Shannon Quinn, but after Shannon's elimination, she could not find a way back into the majority and was voted out on Day 32 despite Avi's attempt to save her from elimination. She lost her second Redemption Island duel to Mike Sparrow and Jak Thomas, ultimately placing 7th.
