Shamar Thomas is a contestant from Survivor: Caramoan.

He was at the center of much conflict on the Gota tribe, as his combative tendencies and low level of effort around camp alienated him from several of his fellow castaways. He was often rendered distraught by the social realities of the game, and even considered quitting. Perennially on the chopping block, he managed to survive two Tribal Councils and participate in a pair of early blindsides before being evacuated from the game due to an eye infection.

Shamar was placed on the Gota tribe, consisting of Survivor fans. He immediately created tension at camp when he argued with Matt Bischoff and the other Fans about fire. He suggested that they should create the fire first rather than build shelter, worried that they would all dehydrate. He annoyed the fans until he helped to create the fire. He then joined a close alliance with Sherri Biethman. He also aligned with Laura, Julia, Matt, and Michael, rivaling the couples alliance with Hope, Allie, Eddie, and Reynold. At the fan's first Tribal Councils, the couples alliance targeted Shamar for not doing any work at camp. But Shamar's alliance outnumbered their votes, eliminating Allie and Hope at two different Tribal Councils. Soon after their votes, Shamar threatened to quit after feeling negativity around camp. On Day 10, a piece of sand entered his eyeball, this started itching his eye. Shamar was medically evacuated because of a serious scratched cornea, and left in tears.
