Serdtse Afriki (Сердце Африки) is the first season of the unofficial version of Posledniy Geroy.

After 48 days in South Africa, Conan Alexeev defeated Lena Pinchuk in an 8-2 jury vote to become the Sole Survivor.

Production

The show was produced by VID and aired on Channel One Russia, the same channel that aired the official edition, Posledniy Geroy. Actor and singer Aleksandr Domogarov was chosen to host the show. Filming took place from October 6 to November 22 in South Africa.

Despite Serdtse Afriki being a different series, multiple media outlets labeled it as the sixth season of Posledniy Geroy by mistake.

Format

• Tribe Composition: The eighteen castaways were divided into two tribes of nine.
• Schoolyard Pick: On Day 1, the contestants, still unsorted into tribes, raced to shore. The first man and woman to reach the shore were tasked to select the remaining players to be on their tribes.
• Guests: This season featured a total of 22 native guests. Each of them lived with a tribe for a few days, participated in the challenges, and voted at Tribal Council.
• Secret Immunity: The Zulu guests secretly gave one of the castaways immunity before the Immunity Challenge. The castaways learned of this only after the votes were tallied. If the immune castaway received the highest number of votes, a revote would take place.
• Tribe Switch: On Day 8, two castaways switched tribes.
• Tiebreaker: In an event of a tie vote, it is up to the Zulu guests to decide who would be eliminated from the game.
• Returnees: The Zulu guests could return some of the voted out castaways to the game at various points in the game.
• Elimination Challenges: The final six competed in a gauntlet of challenges in which the last place finisher of each would be eliminated. This gauntlet would continue until two remained to form the Final Two.
• Final Tribal Council Format: Two finalists faced a jury comprised of ten members.
