Selviytyjät Suomi 8 is the eighth season of Selviytyjät Suomi and the tenth season of the Finnish version of Survivor.

After 37 days, Teemu Roivainen defeated Tytti Junna in a 5-4 vote to become the Sole Survivor.

Production

The season was filmed in the spring of 2023. Like the previous season, Selviytyjät Suomi 8 took place in Langkawi, Malaysia.

On March 21, 2023, host Juuso Mäkilähde announced that he would be leaving the show in order to focus on his radio show, Radio Suomi. It was announced that journalist Riku Rantala would be his replacement, with Rantala making an appearance on Radio Suomi to help make the announcement.

The prize for the winner was 30,000 euros, equating to approximately US$32,500.

Twists/Changes

• Extended Game: The game lasted 37 days, 3 days more than the previous season.
• Expanded Cast: For the first time in Selviytyjät Suomi, the cast consisted of 18 contestants.
• Celebrities: The cast consisted of 18 celebrities in the Finnish media.
• Battle of the Sexes: For the first time in the Finnish version of Survivor, the castaways were divided into tribes by gender.
• Challenge Island: One contestant from each tribe would be sent to Challenge Island to compete in a duel for a reward.
• Lucky Key: Containers that were unlocked by keys won through challenges and duels contained Lucky Keys for each tribe member, which, when played, would negate one vote against a person at Tribal Council.
• Immunity Amulet: The Immunity Amulet could be used by a player to negate any votes cast against them at Tribal Council.
• Tribe Switch: At both the final sixteen and final fourteen, a Tribe Switch occurred.
• Extra Vote: A castaway would get the right to vote twice at the same Tribal Council.
• Earn the Merge: At the final eleven, the castaways would compete for a spot in the merge, with the challenge allowing five winners. The six who lost would be nominated to be voted out at the next Tribal Council. However, this season, everyone was eligible to vote.
• Reward/Immunity Steal: At the final eleven, prior to the "Earn the Merge" challenge, an advantage could be used to take two spots for immunity and reward. The user would take a spot out of the five, and they also would give that ability to another player.
