Survivor

Sean was placed on the Maraamu tribe at the beginning of the game. After landing on the tribe's beach, Sean expressed his thanks to God for guiding the tribe to their new home. He also expressed his annoyance with Sarah Jones' lack of contribution while on the raft, likening her to Cleopatra. Sean initially bonded with Peter Harkey. Maraamu lost the first Immunity Challenge of the season. At the first Tribal Council, Sean voted against Sarah because of her laziness, but Peter was voted out for causing tension in the tribe.

Back at camp, Sean was part of Maraamu's "morning show" which the tribe held to entertain themselves. He also formed a powerful bond with Vecepia Towery based on their Christian faith. Hunter Ellis was annoyed with Sean's general lack of work ethic. Rob Mariano approached Sean about the vote for the second Tribal Council, and both men agreed to vote out Patricia Jackson, Hunter's biggest supporter who was annoying the tribe with her attitude. After Patricia's elimination, the tribe argued about everything. At the next Tribal Council, Hunter was voted out.

On Day 10, Sean, Rob, and Vecepia were moved to the Rotu tribe during the tribe switch. Although their new tribe was welcoming, Sean and Rob had strained relations with the old Rotu's due to their lack of work ethic. Fortunately, they avoided danger due to Rotu winning immunity. However, things changed when Maraamu won the Reward Challenge and raided the camp. This would cripple the tribe for the next Immunity Challenge, Distress Signal, as they lost many of the materials that could be used for the signal. While making the signal, John Carroll approached Sean about voting out Gabriel Cade. Sean felt this was a mistake and he and Rob decided to get Gabe to flip. However, Gabe's answers at Tribal Council caused the tribe to turn on him.

The next day, Rob and Sean talked about how to survive and realized that Vecepia was distancing herself from them. At the Reward Challenge, Rotu was initially declared the winners. However, Maraamu protested the win and was given the win due to mistakes made by Rotu. Sean competed in the next Immunity Challenge and won, keeping him off the chopping block.

After the tribes merged on Day 19, Sean got involved in a heated argument with Rob against John after the first individual Immunity Challenge. In the end, Rob was voted out in a 7-2-1 vote. After Tribal Council, Sean started farting in the shelter, annoying and disgusting the tribe. Kathy won the Reward Challenge and returned with a Snickers bar that she shared with everyone. Sean became annoyed with everyone pretending things are like family when they are not, and pointed out that "good luck everyone" meant "good luck Sean." Kathy agreed to align with Sean and Vecepia to take down the dominant Rotu Four alliance. Paschal and Neleh didn't want to join Sean. At the Immunity Challenge, Sean was the first person knocked out. However, the challenge made Paschal and Neleh disgusted with the Rotu Four's behavior at the challenge, and they united with Sean, Vecepia, and Kathy to vote out John.

After voting out John, Sean found himself in the majority along with Kathy, Neleh, Paschal, and Vecepia. This new alliance eliminated the members of the Rotu Four one-by-one. With all of their common enemies gone, Sean's alliance was forced to turn on themselves. At the final five, Sean and Vecepia targeted Neleh, while Neleh and Paschal targeted Sean. Kathy was caught in the middle of the two factions, but she eventually sided with Neleh and Paschal, eliminating Sean.

At the Final Tribal Council, Sean voted his ally Vecepia to win.
