C'est sacré : tous les ans depuis sa naissance – il y a 19 ans – Sandra fait le même retour aux sources. Elle quitte la région parisienne où elle vit avec ses parents et ses deux petits frères pour retrouver, pendant deux mois, son pays d'origine, le Portugal. L'occasion de rejoindre toute la partie de sa famille qui habite toujours Lisbonne. Même si ses parents lui ont toujours parlé exclusivement en français, Sandra a appris le portugais au cours de ces longues vacances et elle est depuis longtemps totalement bilingue. Ce n'est donc pas un hasard si elle a aujourd'hui choisi d'étudier cette langue : Sandra est en première année de Deug d'espagnol et de portugais. En attendant de trouver sa voie. Son rêve ? « ouvrir quelque chose à elle », diriger un magasin de fringues ou, mieux encore créer une boîte de funk, sa musique préférée. Ce qui est sûr, c'est qu'elle ne veut pas recevoir d'ordres, elle veut en donner. Pour l'instant, elle accumule les expériences professionnelles à travers de nombreux petits boulots (assistante de direction, serveuse, vendeuse…) Elle est confiante dans l'avenir. C'est une battante. Elle a toujours fait énormément de sport, en compétition : après sept ans de danse classique, elle est passée à l'athlétisme, le volley, la natation, l'équitation. Et depuis quatre ans, elle fait du modern jazz. Au total, depuis quatre-cinq ans, elle ne fait pas moins de 6 heures de sport par semaine. Etudes, petits boulot, sport… il lui reste juste le temps de s'occuper de son chéri, Djoudi, qu'elle connaît depuis quatre ans.

In Les Aventuriers, Sandra, along with tribemate Marie Besnier, became weak and ill near the beginning of the game, though she managed to recover upon Marie's elimination. Sandra had a rivalry with Jean-Luc Fiorina because the latter, a former Marine with a strong work ethic, perceived the former as lazy and she contributed to his elimination when most of her tribe voted against him upon their second immunity loss. Her perceived laziness, below-average challenge performances, and complaining about the living conditions all contributed to her being voted out just before the tribes merged.

La Nouvelle Édition

After a 13-year layoff, Sandra started off the game on a positive note by being the female winner of the opening challenge for a Hidden Immunity Necklace. Denis Brogniart revealed to the eleven active contestants that they would be starting off the game individually rather than in tribes. With there being more women than men, Isabelle Da Silva formed an alliance with the five other women and they agreed to vote off either Phil Bizet or Philippe Duron at the first Tribal Council. However, Florence Delbarre Reuter and Laurence Pizzocchia were hesitant to follow through on this plan due to their prior ties to Laurent Maistret and Philippe, respectively. The pair informed the men and, in turn, the men formed a counter-alliance and promised Florence and Laurence safety if they join them, which they did. The group originally planned to vote against Sandra at Tribal Council for not contributing as much around camp, but with the threat of her Hidden Immunity Necklace looming, they voted out ringleader Isabelle instead and left the rest of her alliance blindsided. The next cycle, Freddy Boucher and Teheiura Teahui entered the game, bringing with them fire that they had started during their long trek in the first cycle. With the pair picking their respective tribemates, Sandra was selected by Teheiura to be a part of the Tengah tribe. Over the remainder of the cycle, Sandra became weaker and she was sent to the infirmary right before the first tribal Immunity Challenge. After it was determined that Sandra was not recovering even after spending some time in the infirmary, she was permanently evacuated and eliminated from the game. Her unorthodox elimination allowed for Isabelle to return to the game in her place.
