Matai'a Salatielu "Sala" Tiatia is a contestant from Survivor New Zealand: Nicaragua.
Sala started in a stable position with several strong relationships with his Mogotón tribemates. His alliances with Lou McClintock, Shay Tapusoa, and Avi Duckor-Jones kept his status strong even after the tribe swap, in addition to his new friendships with Barb Raos and Nate Davis. After the merge, his newfound yet strong relationship with Shannon Quinn kept them within the majority, but a blindside organized by Barb sent Sala to Redemption Island. He lost his first duel against Mike Sparrow, leaving him in 9th place overall.
