Rubén Torres es bombero y tatuador y llega a Supervivientes 2024 con una clara advertencia: "En mi día a día, diría que enciendo más fuegos de los que apago. Va a ardar Honduras", dice en su vídeo de presentación.
Llega pisando fuerte al reality de Telecinco, pero hay que decir que él ya tiene algo de experiencia delante de cámaras, ya que estuvo participando en Falso amor, un programa en el que varias parejas ponen a prueba su relación.[1]

Ruben's knack for winning immunity challenges in the first few votes largely helped him throughout the show, due to having frosty relationships with some of those on Playa Condena, most notably with Aurah Ruiz, with whom even a task so mundane as heating rice boiled over into an argument about each other's apparent lack of involvement in islander life.[2] Their arguments also split the tribe between those who supported Rubén, thinking that Aurah had gone too far; those who supported Aurah, believing Rubén to be uncooperative and lazy; and those who tried to stay out of it, most notably Marieta Díaz.
