Robinson Ekspeditionen 1998 is the first season of Robinson Ekspeditionen.
After 47 days in Malaysia, Regina Pedersen defeated Karina Winther to become the series' first Sole Survivor.
Production[]
After the major success of Sweden's Expedition Robinson 1997, Danish television channel TV 2 was offered the format but declined. Anders Krarup, TV 2's former head of information, said this was because advertisements were only allowed to be shown before and after the program, making it more difficult to monetize it.[1]
TV3 ultimately got the rights to the format. Thomas Mygind was selected to host the show. Over 11,000 people sent applications to compete in the season, and sixteen were selected to be contestants.[2]
Filming took place in Malaysia. The season used the same Tribal Council as Sweden's Expedition Robinson 1998. The winner received 250,000 kr, equivalent to roughly US$61,000 in 2021. TV3 aired the season from September 11 to December 3, 1998.
Format[]
- Tribe Composition: The sixteen castaways were divided into two tribes of eight.
- Merge: The merged tribe was composed of eleven members.
- Nine Person Jury: The Final Two faced a jury comprised of nine members.

Trivia[]
- Robinson Ekspeditionen 1998 is the first season in the Survivor franchise to produce an all-female final four.
- Coincidentally, Expedition Robinson 1998 (the only other edition of Survivor being aired), which began airing a day later, would also produce an all-female final four.
