Robinson: Karibien is the twelfth season of Expedition Robinson.

Hans Brettschneider defeated Jimmy Führ in a 5-3 jury vote to become the Sole Survivor.

Twists/Changes

• Battle of the Sexes: The tribes were initially divided by gender. The Agwe tribe was comprised solely of men, while the Brise tribe was comprised solely of women.
• Tribe Switch: In "Episode 2", a Tribe Switch occurred.
• Mock Vote: In "Episode 6", the tribe that attended Tribal Council did not vote someone out of the game. The castaway who was voted out was switched to the other tribe.
• Ghede Tribe: From "Episode 7" through the final four, each castaway who was voted out was sent to the Ghede tribe. They would live here until a challenge took place between Ghede and the four remaining members of Legba, the merged tribe. If they won the challenge, they would compete individually for the chance to return to the game. Ghede won the challenge, and Hans Brettschneider returned to the game.
• Voodoo Votes: Each castaway who was voted out before the merge stuck a pin in a voodoo doll representing a castaway in the game. Each pin would count as a vote at the first Tribal Council following the merge. The vote would be nullified if the castaway who they voted for had been voted out after they voted for them, or won the Immunity Challenge.
• Half Immunity Idols:
• Final Six Immunity Challenge: At the final six Immunity Challenge, three castaways would win immunity.
• Double Tribal Council: On Day 37, the five remaining castaways were subjected to a Double Tribal Council. Individual Immunity would carry over for both votes.
• Semi-Finals: At the final four, the castaways competed in a challenge in which the winner would advance directly to the Final Two and the last-place finisher would be eliminated. The remaining two castaways would compete in another challenge to determine the second finalist.
