Death[]
Rob and his 5-year-old son Byron died in a car accident while on holiday in South Africa on April 11, 2009. Rob's oldest son, Gabriel, 8, died on April 15, 2009 while in hospital due to the injuries he suffered in the crash.[2]
In 2020, Rob was posthumously inducted into the Australian Survivor Hall of Fame.
