Both teams will race to assemble four puzzle wheels and attach them to a cart, in which two of their tribemates will ride. Pushing the cart through a series of obstacles to a finish platform, the tribes will then disassemble the puzzle wheels and use them to complete a turnstile. Finally, they will wind the turnstile to raise a fire wok, igniting their tribal cauldron. The first tribe to finish wins the challenge.
History[]
In Survivor: Micronesia, the Malakal tribe fell behind early when they had trouble assembling the puzzle wheels, and they fell further behind when they crashed into a tree, and they never recovered as the Airai tribe won immunity.
In Survivor South Africa: Return of the Outcasts, the challenge was played for tribal reward. While one tribe member sat inside the cart, four rope handlers will hoist the cart up, allowing their tribemate to untie four puzzle wheels from a frame. They will then put the wheels on the cart before their tribemates pull the cart over two bridges. At the end of the course, the cart rider will take off the wheels, using them to complete a lighthouse puzzle. A breakdown in communication on Masu caused them to fall behind as Meryl Szolkeiwicz struggled with putting on the wheels. Yontau's lead allowed experienced puzzlemaker Dino Paulo to finish the lighthouse puzzle first, giving his tribe the win and the right to spin a lottery wheel for their reward.
