At [[Final Tribal Council]], Reed said he enjoyed watching Natalie's game. He also said he also enjoyed getting to know Jaclyn. When it came to Missy, however, Reed said despite her speech saying she was the motherly figure, she was more like the wicked stepmother from fairy tales who spoiled her own daughter (Baylor) and mistreated the help (the minority alliance). He pointed out that this was her fatal flaw in the game as those on the outside would ultimately decide your fate at the end of the game. Reed finished by saying that he liked fairy tales because the wicked Stepmother never wins and wished Natalie and Jaclyn good luck. Knowing Natalie would likely win the game, Reed would give his jury vote to Jaclyn as a way of ensuring Missy a 3rd place finish.

Reed Kelly is a contestant from Survivor: San Juan del Sur.

He is mostly known for his failed attempt to blindside Jon Misch and his "Wicked Stepmother" speech against Missy Payne at the Final Tribal Council.

Profile

Name: Reed Kelly (31)
Tribe Designation: Hunahpu
Relationship to Significant Castaway: Josh’s boyfriend
Current Residence: New York City, N.Y.
Occupation: Broadway Performer/Model/Aerialist
Personal Claim to Fame: Having raised over $130,000 for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS to date via my personal fundraising group Team Yellow Bucket. I also cook a really great steak and I am an experienced hugger.
Inspiration in Life: My mom. She is an incredible woman who humbly strives to care for and shape the future and the present, of thousands of students and staff daily. She manages to do this while also being an amazing and supportive mother/wife on a daily basis. How can one not be inspired by this?
Hobbies: Working out, walks with my pup, watching documentaries, Survivor, google-journeys, eating good food and Earth/cosmic science.
Pet Peeves: Slow walkers on the sidewalks of NYC, exceedingly slow baristas and lazy individuals who don’t utilize the gifts/opportunities they have been given.
3 Words to Describe You: Perfectionist, outgoing, overachiever.
If You Could Have 3 Things on The Island What Would They Be and Why? 1) My Bible – because man cannot live by bread (or rice) alone. 2) My pillow – because it would be a super comfy piece of home and I perform better well rested. 3) A mirror – because sometimes as a dancer you have to be able to look at yourself in the eye and say “pull up and push through! You’re not actually that hungry.” I think this would work well for me as a Survivor castaway too.
SURVIVOR Contestant You Are Most Like: Yikes. Hopefully I will be unlike anyone thus far (in a good way), but if I had to pick: Malcolm Freberg and Stephenie LaGrossa for their hyper-competitiveness and athleticism; Bob Crowley for his nerdy science knowledge and ingenuity; and Lisa Whelchel for her faith.
Reason for Being on SURVIVOR: I’m dying to play this game. You can never truly know what your limits are until you push them. I’m tired of watching others do it and I’m ready to experience it for myself firsthand.
Why You Think You’ll “Survive” SURVIVOR: I'm good at maintaining a positive mindset, I'm resourceful and I’m physically fit. I'm not a quitter, I enjoy being outdoors plus I can make fire.
Why You Think You Will Be the Sole SURVIVOR: I'm a people-person who is physically tough, smart, well-spoken and strong willed; that last characteristic makes me a fighter until the end. I can lie when needed, I love to compete and I excel under pressure.
What Does It Mean to You to Play Survivor with Your Loved One? Having the chance to participate in this adventure together, not to mention the joint lessons I'm certain we will take away from it, will not only strengthen, but help fortify our relationship for the future. I'm really excited about getting to do such a once in a lifetime thing with the guy I love.

Survivor: San Juan del Sur

Reed Kelly competed on Survivor: San Juan del Sur with his boyfriend, Josh Canfield. When the men arrived at the Hero's arena, they was placed on opposite tribes. Reed gotten the blue buff and was placed on the Hunahpu tribe. Reed was absolutely excited to be competing on Survivor. Hunahpu generally won challenges over its rival tribe, Coyopa. However, Hunahpu would lose immunity on Day 10. This was largely because of Drew Christy throwing the challenge. The men of Hunahpu was disorganized when it came to voting someone out as they couldn't agree on a single target. Reed voted against Julie McGee at Tribal Council. In the end, Drew was the one voted out in 5-2-1-1 vote.

On Day 11 at the Hero's Arena, there was a Tribe Switch. Reed stayed on Hunahpu but was reunited with Josh. Unfortunately at this point, Hunahpu barely had any rice left. Jeremy Collins was upset with the tribe switch because Reed could easily flip to Josh. The new Hunaphu managed to blow away the new Coyopa at the Immunity Challenge. However, Reed was the first to plead to Jeff Probst for more rice at any expense. The next day, Jeff came and took all of the rewards Hunahpu accumulated over the course of the game. At the Hero's Arena, Josh competed in the duel against Baylor Wilson for a Survivor Barbecue. Reed won the duel, winning his tribe a feast and exiling Baylor. Reed was going to send Julie to Exile but Natalie Anderson volunteered instead. At the Immunity Challenge, Hunahpu was initially losing. However, Josh and Reed managed to give Hunaphu another victory.

On Day 16, the two tribes merged. The newly merged tribe celebrated with a feast. Josh managed to flip Jaclyn Schultz and Jon Misch to their alliance in order to vote out Jeremy. However, Any strategizing was put on hold as Julie quit. At the next Reward Challenge on Day 19, Reed was on the winning team and enjoyed a taco bar. Reed did note that because of people being from different alliances, no one strategize that much. Jeremy won immunity, which prompted Josh to make Baylor the new target. However, Jaclyn convinced Jon to vote out Josh. Josh was voted out in a 6-5 vote. Reed hugged his boyfriend goodbye. After Tribal council, Reed was upset with Josh's elimination.
