“ | One Castaway threatens to change things up by blindsiding their best friend in the game. Simultaneously, an alliance considers blindsiding one of their own. And, all the castaways are blindsided by a surprise announcement from host Jeff Probst. | ” |
—Episode Synopsis[2] |
Night 27[]
After Frosti Zernow left the Tribal Council area, host Jeff Probst said that there was still something to do. As this would not involve the jury, they could leave. It was revealed that the reason the castaways were not going back to Camp immediately was because of a Reward Challenge for a trip to the Shaolin Temple. The challenge was a quiz about facts about China. Peih-Gee Law ended up winning the challenge and had to pick two people to join her. She picked her friend and ally Erik Huffman. For her second choice, Peih-Gee picked Denise Martin.
Day 28[]
Day 29[]
Day 30[]
Amanda Kimmel noticed how much of a threat James Clement was becoming and devised a plan to blindside him. She gathered her allies Denise, Courtney Yates, and Todd Herzog. As James was in possession of both Hidden Immunity Idols, Amanda also told outsider Peih-Gee to act as if she was going home in order to not raise suspicion. Peih-Gee, although grateful that she may be spared for another three days, planned with Erik to vote against Todd just in case James played one of his idols. At Tribal Council, James did not play his idol, causing his elimination in a 5-1-1 vote.
Challenges[]
Challenge: Confucius Said
Castaways must answer a trivia quiz about China and its culture. The first castaway to answer five questions correctly wins.
Reward: Overnight trip to the Shaolin Temple
Winner: Peih-Gee Law (shared with Denise Martin and Erik Huffman)
Challenge: Star Struck
Castaways must throw three metal stars at a target, scoring points depending on where the star lands and sticks. The three highest scorers (or more, if there is a tie) move on to the final round. In the final round, each castaway gets one throw each at a new target ten feet farther away. The castaway with the highest score wins.
Winner: Erik Huffman

Final Words[]
James |
“ | [reveals the Hidden Immunity Idols in his hands] I have the two idols, I guess I should have played them. I'm kind of dissapointed in myself. I kind of caught a feeling, but I still didn't do it. Dealing with those people and trying to hold those Froot Loops together this whole damn time, it was killing me. You can't be angry with anybody. It's a game. I mean, they played their best hand. They did what they were supposed to do. I rolled the dice too many times, and I just got caught off. | ” |
