Malaisie[]
After the opening challenge, Philippe was not selected by Camille Sold or Namadia Thaï Thaï to be on either contestant's tribe and was banished alongside Nadine De Carpentry, Bernard Deniaud, and Élodie Sadeler for the remainder of the cycle. After the Sungaï tribe won the second Reward Challenge, they selected Philippe and Élodie to become new members, leaving Nadine and Bernard to be integrated into the Mawaï tribe. As new members of the Sungaï tribe, Philippe and Élodie were seen as easy votes should the tribe ever go to Tribal Council and, after the tribe lost the third Immunity Challenge, Marie Parmentier made it clear to them that one of them would be eliminated that cycle. This was the case with Élodie being voted out. In frustration over this, Philippe nearly quit the game. However, Philippe bounced back, positioning himself well socially and joining the majority in blindsiding Marie at the Sungaï tribe's last Tribal Council before the merge. After the tribes merged, the original Sungaï tribe members made use of their numbers advantage and pagonged the original Mawar tribe members, with the exception of two cycles in which their targets Namadia and Thierry Villette "idoled out" Javier Rodriguez and Catherine Perez, respectively. Additionally, Camille was eliminated at the same time as Catherine due to them having Tied Destinies for that cycle and Charles Clément was evacuated and eliminated from the game at the Final Seven due to having become malnourished and extremely weak. As for Philippe himself, he won four out of the seven individual Immunity Challenges, but also earned the ire of all of his tribemates at a couple of points due to not being definitive about his agency and due to lying. At the Final Six, Philippe played a Hidden Immunity Necklace that he had found early in the game on himself, but no votes had been cast against him that cycle. Having made it to the finale, Philippe was eliminated at the Final Five after losing the Orienteering challenge along with Bernard. Philippe did in fact find the first of the three daggers, but he forfeited it to Vanessa Alvarez who would likely have found it first had Philippe not followed her. Bernard finished in fifth place while Philippe finished in fourth place because the latter had made more progress in the challenge than the former before they were forced to stop.

^4 At the final five, the remaining castaways competed in an elimination challenge, where two castaways would be eliminated. Bernard and Philippe came in last and were eliminated.
La Nouvelle Édition[]
After the opening challenge, Denis Brogniart revealed to the eleven active contestants that they would be starting off the game individually rather than in tribes. With there being more women than men, Isabelle Da Silva formed an alliance with the five other women and they agreed to vote off either Phil or Philippe Duron at the first Tribal Council. However, Florence Delbarre Reuter and Laurence Pizzocchia were hesitant to follow through on this plan due to their prior ties to Laurent Maistret and Philippe, respectively. The pair informed the men and, in turn, the men formed a counter-alliance and promised Florence and Laurence safety if they join them, which they did. The group originally planned to vote against Sandra Acabado at Tribal Council for not contributing as much around camp, but with the threat of her Hidden Immunity Necklace looming, they voted out ringleader Isabelle instead and left the rest of her alliance blindsided. The next cycle, Freddy Boucher and Teheiura Teahui entered the game, bringing with them fire that they had started during their long trek in the first cycle. With the pair picking their respective tribemates, Phil was selected by Freddy to be a part of the Simban tribe. Phil made the merge alongside all of the other male competitors and Christina Chevry. With Freddy and Christina on the outs of an alliance of six, Phil easily made the Final Six. At the Final Five, Laurent sensed that he was in danger of being voted out due to his challenge prowess, so he and Martin Bazin successfully convinced Phil to join them in voting out Philippe, who had already won Koh-Lanta before. Having made it to the finale, Phil was eliminated at the Final Three after Martin won the Perch challenge and took Laurent to the Final Two instead of him.
