2015[]
Pepe was part of the Tierra tribe, which did not have a very good start since they attended the first trial and then the third one, where he was nominated by the girls of his tribe, but he managed to be saved thanks to Caro Miranda, the other nominee, who asked the judges that she be voted out since she was injured.
In the tribe switch, the Tierra tribe disappeared and Pepe was chosen to join the Agua tribe. In Cycle 7, this new tribe decided to nominate him together with Deborah Portela, this time the judges decided to save Deborah because she was considered a weak element in the tribe, therefore Pepe was voted out.

La Revancha[]
Pepe was assigned to the Jade tribe, where he was seen to have a more strategic game and quickly formed alliances that allowed him to stay safe until the next stage. In the tribe switch, Pepe remained in the same tribe, where although he lost and betrayed some allies, Pepe managed to form new alliances that allowed him to move forward. It was in the last trial before the merge that Pepe was at risk, but he used a Black Pearl that negated the votes against him and got him to the merge.
At the merge, in addition to his alliances, Pepe went under the radar by his tribemates, as they never considered him a physical threat as such. In this way, Pepe made it to the semifinal, however, he did not manage to defeat Ana Ransanz and Jorge Luis Vázquez, finishing in third place.
