Survivor
The oldest of the ten Gen-Xers, Paul quickly rose to the role of leader in his tribe. He gained close friendships with Bret LaBelle and Chris Hammons and the three formed a majority alliance with Jessica Lewis, Lucy Huang, and Sunday Burquest over the minority of CeCe Taylor, David Wright, Ken McNickle, and Rachel Ako, the latter who was voted out at the tribe's first Tribal Council. Paul lazed around camp and was perceived as "dead weight" by Ken, who plotted with David to knock him out of the game. In the second episode, Paul fainted of heat exhaustion, but he did pull through. His commanding personality gained the ire of David, Ken, and CeCe. After losing the third Immunity Challenge on Day 10, the majority alliance targeted CeCe for her challenge weakness, but Jessica became worried about the possibility of an "all-guys" alliance. When she asked Paul about it, he left the option open, which prompted Jessica into rallying Lucy and Sunday against him. At Tribal Council, they sided with the three outsiders, and Paul was "150%" blindsided in a 6-3 vote.
