Pheko "PK" Phetoe is a contestant from Survivor South Africa: Philippines and Survivor South Africa: Return of the Outcasts.
PK started Philippines at the top of the Mindanao majority alliance and dictated the tribal dynamics along with his main ally Tevin Naidu. After the second tribe swap, PK became tired of Tevin's conservative gameplay and replaced him with Toni Tebbutt; the pair then blindsided Tevin before eliminating outsider Josie Eveleigh when their tribe was forced to go from three members to two. At the merge, PK and Toni found themselves cast aside by their former allies, and PK undertook an aggressive approach at scrapping his way through the game. He correctly played a Hidden Immunity Idol and started numerous fights with Tom Swartz, but his game eventually came to an end at the final six.
PK returned in Return of the Outcasts, where his assignment to the Masu tribe allowed him to reconnect with his Philippines castmates Toni and Palesa Tau. His second chance started on a high as he controlled the first vote and got rid of Chappies Chapman. However, ahead of the second Tribal Council, PK's game unraveled after his ally Toni started a campaign against Marian de Vos, whose alliance backed her to blindside him instead.

PK is a mining technician who viewers will recognise because of his signature South African flag that he carries with him at all times. PK is in great physical shape due to his experience as an MMA fighter but underneath this competitive appearance is a player who is a strategic thinker too. If analytical thinking is his strength, PK also admits that his biggest weakness in the gruelling game of Survivor will be his tendency to overthink things. Ambitious, driven mining engineer PK Phetoe has been living and working in Lephalale in Limpopo for the past two years. He grew up in Mafikeng and lived with his mother in Centurion for most of his teenage and young adult life.
PK has ambitions of starting his own mining consultancy company one day. He also wants to contribute to society and give something back. His job requires him to problem solve, adapt, and prioritise his actions to optimise outcomes – skills he wants to bring to the game of Survivor.
Having originally thought Survivor SA was all about playing a strong physical game, his experience taught him the importance of the social side, which he splits into two parts: social for friendship and loyalty for political gain. Return of the Outcasts[]
PK was placed on the Masu tribe. His tribemates quickly noticed that him, Toni Tebbutt and Tevin Naidu from the opposing Yontau have all matching Mindanao tattoos, which made PK an early target. PK and Toni became concerned that they were on the outs alongside Palesa Tau, who played with them on their season.
After the first Tribal Council, where PK was part of blindsiding Chappies Chapman, he was certain of his control over the majority alliance that took part in that blindside. However, after losing the Reward/Immunity Challenge on Day 5, the "Breakfast Club" alliance of Danté De Villiers, Marian de Vos, Meryl Szolkeiwicz, Shane Hattingh, and Steffi Brink discussed voting out PK over Toni. At Tribal Council, PK found himself blindsided over Marian in a 5-4 vote.
