Nneka Ejere

Nneka Ejere is a contestant from Survivor 43.

The oldest woman of the season, Nneka immediately aligned herself with Cody Assenmacher and Jesse Lopez to help vote out Justine Brennan. However, Nneka's poor challenge performances ultimately proved too much for her allies to overlook, and she was unanimously voted out at Vesi’s second Tribal Council.

What is the accomplishment you are most proud of? My family! My husband and I have made it through some rough times and have three amazing children.
What is something we would never know from looking at you? How tough, resilient and determined I can be.
Who is your hero and why? My dad. He has accomplished so much. He overcame so many obstacles from childhood through his adult years and not only thrived, but brought so many others along with him, to ensure he ended the cycle of poverty that would've plagued the extended family otherwise.
Which past Survivor will you play the game most like? Cirie, because I love to connect and do so easily. I will play hard without seeming to on the surface.
Why do you believe you can be the Sole Survivor? I believe that I can accomplish anything I set my mind to. I can influence others to make decisions, and they'll think it was their idea the whole time. I am resilient, too; it is not about how many times I fall, but that I get up one more time. I believe that anything worth doing is worth doing well, so I give 100% always.^[2]

Nneka began the season on the Vesi tribe. On the first day, Nneka formed an immediate bond with Cody Assenmacher and Jesse Lopez, creating a three-person alliance with them. At the second Immunity Challenge on Day 5, Nneka struggled, offering little help on the physical portion of the challenge and accidentally leaving a bag of puzzle pieces on the ground. Because of her contribution to the loss, the alliance of Justine Brennan and Noelle Lambert planned to vote Nneka off ahead of Vesi's first Tribal Council. At the same time, Nneka helped Cody activate his Hidden Immunity Idol to prevent him from losing his vote. Because of this, Nneka's entire alliance was able to cast their votes against Justine and eliminate her.

On Day 7, Nneka was once again deemed responsible for Vesi's immunity loss after failing on the puzzle, sending them back to Tribal Council. This second poor performance forced Cody and Jesse to reevaluate their alliance with Nneka, weighing her loyalty to them against Noelle, who was seen as a better physical asset to the tribe. In the end, Cody and Jesse decided to side with Noelle and Dwight Moore in voting against Nneka, unanimously blindsiding her over Noelle.
