Nicole Capper

Nicole Capper is a contestant from Survivor South Africa: Island of Secrets.

A founding member of the Amigos, Nicole wore her emotions on her sleeve and initiated several tight relationships with her fellow castaways, most notably with Rob Bentele. She spent the majority of the game as a crucial strategic player whose relationships entitled her to valuable information that she often shared with Rob, leading to the undoing of those who had placed their trust in her. As the game progressed, Nicole developed a reputation for being an opportunist who tended to contradict the virtues she espoused and she met her reckoning at Final Tribal Council, where the jury reviled her for her hypocrisy. While some jury members voted for her out of respect for her indisputable strategic significance, Nicole lost the game to Rob in a 6-4-0 vote.

Nicole is a perfect example of confidence and grace. Her journey towards courage and living out of her comfort zone started three years ago, when her baby girl was diagnosed with a rare and life limiting genetic disease. That's when this qualified pharmacist decided to come out of her shell, break through her insecurities and live with the philosophy that anything is possible. So, she entered Mrs South Africa 2017 – and won. Thereafter, Nicole set her goals higher and higher, embarking on all kinds of epic adventures to raise funds and awareness for social causes close to her heart. She even went to the summit of Kilimanjaro and is expanding her circle of influence with modelling, motivational speaking and being the ambassador for Rare Diseases SA. The divorced mother of two also founded Inside Out, an organisation that connects the youth with their heroes in sport and business.^[2]

Post-Survivor[]

Nicole, along with nineteen other former Survivor, Australian Survivor, Survivor South Africa, and Survivor New Zealand contestants, competed in the second Survivor-themed mini-competition of Sequester on June 20, 2020. She was eliminated in the first round, finishing in 20th place.^[3]
On December 6, 2020, Nicole married Clint Austin.^[4]

Nicole and fellow Sa'ula tribe member Lee-Anne van Renen knew each other before the game, having both competed for the title of Mrs. South Africa 2018.
Nicole is the highest-placing woman on Island of Secrets.
Nicole is the first castaway to have voted for the person who was eliminated at every Tribal Council she attended.
